A Day of Remembering
September 11 is my legal anniversary. I do mean legal because we had a civil ceremony on a cliff overlooking the Philippine Sea 15 years ago followed by a second ceremony with family, friends, and all the trimmings on November 28th. For most of our marriage we happily celebrated two anniversaries. Then for obvious reasons our legal anniversary was marred and that first year we had no heart to celebrate and subsequently we observed that date quietly in passing and emphasized the November anniversary instead.
