My Artistic Vision
I want my designs to be unique, touchable, beautiful to see and comfortable to wear. I want designs that endure the current fashion colors and styles so that it will not end up under a pile of newer things by the end of the year. Finally, I want each piece to have an owner out there unknown when I make it but who will ultimately find it and love it.

Welcome to my studio, Fiery Heart Designs, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas where I create jewelry and small scale art in the metal clays, silver, copper, and bronze. Although I started as a bead oriented artist my first experiments with PMC silver hooked me on this medium.

PI OF HEARTS — 2008

That was in 2008. I made a few pieces in silver while the metal clay world moved on to include copper and bronze (it already had gold). The silver could be fired without a kiln but the newer clays require a kiln for best firing. In 2010 I finally purchased the type of kiln needed for copper and bronze clays. That is when I started learning to work with the newer clays.

This website is a portal to my studio and offers a glimpse at new pieces of metal clay art as I create them. I will also share what I learn from both the successes and the failures. I hope you come along for the journey as I explore the fascinating world of metal clay. I invite you to read my blog and to view my online portfolio to see where the artistic road takes me.

You can see some of my earlier work (including early PMC pieces) on the Early Work pages. As I complete new pieces they will also be in a portfolio.

I currently show my work in two locations, The Toll House in Cotter, Arkansas and The Riverview Emporium in Norfork, Arkansas.
